RCIA

Each year we provide the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). This is for those adults living in our parish who wish to become full members of the Catholic Church. This includes both those seeking baptism for the first time and those who were baptised in another Christian Community and who now seek to enter into the full communion of the Catholic Church. RCIA usually begins each autumn and involves regular meetings with the Cathedral clergy and a team of catechists. It culminates with the adults being baptised or received into full communion by the Bishop at the Easter Vigil.

If you are interested in finding out more about RCIA, please contact the Parish Office and it will make arrangements for you to meet with one of the RCIA team.

The Search: several times a year we provide a series of ten evenings called ‘The Search’ for those adults interested in exploring faith and the Catholic Church. There is no commitment to join the Church at the end of it, although many adults do move from this onto our parish RCIA.

To find out more, please either contact the Parish Office or look out for information about ‘The Search’ in our weekly parish newsletter.
