Do You Know What’s Going On?

There are many activities in the Cathedral Parish that you can be involved with…

For example:

Did you know that every Tuesday evening there is a Yoga class here in the evening?

There are already students who sing in the cathedral choir – would you be interested to join?

There is Bible study: a six week course ‘Exploring God’s Word’ – a chance to get to know the Gospel of Matthew a bit better.

Read the newletter  (it’s the white thing stuck in a hymn book or lying at the back of the church) to get details each week.

Did you know that there is a chaplaincy centre (called ‘The Oasis Suite’) in the Nuffield centre? - You are always welcome to come in for a cup of coffee, or just to relax.

Use our sanctuary prayer space, have access to a collection of Christian magazines and books – spirituality, theology, scripture and liturgy.

Nearly every week there are lunchtime presentations and discussions, on both days, from 12.30 – 1.30pm:

Monday – Monday Main Event – staff present papers on an area of their own work and research that stimulate discussion of values, meaning and purpose.

ThursdayKaleidoscope – Student led discussion on popular or controversial subjects related to faith. We provide a light lunch, tea and coffee.

Trips and weekends away – a chance to go on retreat, visit places of interest or attend conferences/ workshops. We can subsidise travel or other expenses: let us know your ideas, and we can help make them happen.

                             -------------------------------------------------

So much for what is on offer, more to the point -

What do you want?  What are your ideas?
How can we make them happen?
                             Tell me your ideas!
